The last blog I wrote ( here ), I started by saying that I have been very delinquent with writing blogs. So what do I do? I continue to be very delinquent with my blogs! If anything, I am consistent! :) So, why

Windows Cache Extension 1.0 for PHP released

Windows Cache Extension 1.0 for PHP released

We use 2 windows server 2003 mirrors to one of our web apps and it runs as good as our unix mirrors.

What a waste of money, not to mention the headache of running a Microsoft webserver.

It allows simultaneous 2(!) directional wireless file sharing between mobile phones and computers (XP, Vista, W2000, W2003, Linux, MAC) using Wi-Fi, 3G or other wireless protocol.

Now for the pedantic semantics argument -

The problem - of course - is that Zend is NOT PHP - they are a company with a stake in PHP that make money off of PHP (as many do) and that are improving their products that use PHP and PHP source. However, it doesn't appear that all the fixes for PHP on Windows are being pushed back to the community.

Remember - Zend Core for Windows Server 2008 isn't the official release of PHP - so let's not be saying that PHP is running on Windows Server, fully certified - because it's Zend Core, not the official PHP ;)
