&lt;p&gt;When you talk about applications are you referring to group of applications that talks to each other or applications that have their own domains (no sharing of session data) separate apps.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;How are they communicating? Can you distribute each applications and host them separately and yet could share a session key?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To support most enterprise deployment a need for parallel processing capability is a big factor for a framework to be truly an enterprise level.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;How does php support huge volume of data processing like online backup of data to zip or something that could be parallel processed?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Could php support video manipulation or huge volume of image conversion like thousand per sec?&lt;/p&gt;
