&lt;p&gt;It should no longer be necessary to disable UAC even for installation;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;the installer and ApacheMonitor now behave with Vista/Longhorn as of &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;the 2.2.8 release (which is really the one version that you should use).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;And I would have added something about creating a &amp;quot;apache&amp;quot; user account&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;and toggling the Apache service to &amp;quot;Run As&amp;quot; that guest user account.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Otherwise, nicely done.&lt;/p&gt;
