Madden, and I'm relatively new to Microsoft and blogging, as you can probably tell. Sorry about the confusion; I wasn't trying to be mysterious, I just didnt' adopt a very identifiable screen name. :)

As I mentioend in my post, I come from a legal and accademic background and I'm here to help develop Microsoft's OSS engagement from a theoretical and policy perspective. I'm the guy who (along with others) thinks about why we're doing what we're doing with OSS and what we are hoping to acheive for customers, developers and the community generally.

If you have any specific questions about me or my role here, feel free to e-mail me at mmadden@microsoft.com or post them here. I will answer them as best I can. Happy new year!

You may want to provide a little bit more context about yourself and your role. You may be very interested in encouraging work, but helping the community to get to know you better will help to frame that work, and the encouragement that you are fostering.

Good Journey!
