I trayed to reinstal postgreSQL 8, and the end of procedure I receive a message:

Postgre SQL Server 8.3 failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system service.

What can I do to resolve this problem.

After uninstalling postgress under Windows, i still have a folder C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\data (?)

It is not important but ...

More important, when i execute "netstat-a" back to console, I have 14 postgres entries (????)

Me who thought that I uninstalled postgres!

How I completly remove postgress (without reinstalling Windows ;-))
