Cranky dutchmen who come over here and steal our jobs. Go back to the redlight jerk, there's a hash bar with your name on it.

Kidding :)

What's the difference between web now and web 10 years ago? Insead of Tripod, Angelfire, and Geocities adding to the dung heap of personal garbage that nobody gives a damn about, we now have livejournal, friendster, and myspace. The only thing I can say to the credit of this is that at least there is a template by which these personal blogs and myspace pages are tolerable to the human eye (even if just barely). No more bouncing animated gifs, spinning spiders, poorly formatted text, and sparkling cursor toys...unless people elect to bother bungling their myspace code and putting them there (which some do).

"Web 2.0.: same bullshit, different interface"

I have to agree with you here. The web is the web, and it will always be the web. Just like Interstate 4 through Orlando has been build, rebuilt and rebuilt again over the years, it is still Interstate 4.

The technology involved might change, but the web will remain the web. Starting a Web 2.0 discussion might make for sensational writings and warnings from MIT Technology Review, but it remains that the web will always be the web.

Good posting!
