&lt;p&gt;Free Software is _not_ about being able to take a peek at the code. &amp;nbsp;It is about the FREEDOMS given to you with the source. &amp;nbsp;Microsoft's &amp;quot;shared&amp;quot; source doesn't come close to being Open/Free in any sense.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What is the purpose of Microsoft's OSSL if Microsoft will never release anything that is _useful_ under a Free Software Foundation or &amp;nbsp;Open Source Initiative (OSI) approved license? &amp;nbsp;To me Microsoft's OSSL just seems like a big waste of money for Microsoft. &amp;nbsp;People in the open source world are not fooled by PR stunts or token gestures. &amp;nbsp; I don't ever see Microsoft releasing anything _useful_ under a _REAL_ Free Software Foundation or Open Source Initiative (OSI) approved license.&lt;/p&gt;
