&lt;p&gt;Interoperability has always been a primary strategy for Microsoft because strategic buyers fear vendor lock-in. &amp;nbsp;Working with the self-interests of government and large corporate customers using the interop message is a necessary practice for you.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Now that Microsoft is complying with the EU ruling, it must make source code available to the open source community. Are there indications that the open community is initiating its own efforts at interop with Microsoft or is it still primarily driven by Microsoft?&lt;/p&gt;
