Sam recently interviewed Daniel Lopez, Founder and CTO and Erica Brescia, CEO of Bitrock from their Spain headquarters. Daniel and Erica discuss their experiences and challenges developing open source applications and launching the BitNami project. BitRock makes open source software easier to use by providing a complete automated solution for Open Source Application Deployment.

  1. well since linux network is basicly MANY third party databases.. it does allow a bigger archive and selection for the linux box, and finding drivers that are needed for hardware, or program applications for scripting or making applets.. but it also makes it a lot less secure.. all that automated updates.. from several different servers is a lot more reliable to having spoofs, and security leaks.. cause the net work of Unix is vast.. and not just one isolated network.. instead unlike Microsoft Linux has its server Linking up with thousands of third party application servers.. sure you will find your driver, but it could also be spoofed a lot more easily then Microsoft's
